Frequently Asked Questions

  • You may have seen videos of others experiencing a SE treatment where they are moving their body in various ways during the session. Every individual is different, some people don't move at all, some take a few sessions to open up to the practice, and others will move very freely from the first session. There is no right or wrong way to be during a session. You will vary from session to session depending on your sleep, mood, energy levels and emotional state that day. I will work with you from moment to moment within each session.

  • I recommend wearing something breathable that allows you to move freely and is comfortable above all else.

  • Yes, but there are limitations. SE is not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy. There will be adaptations and regressions in some of the breathwork practices, for example, naval pumping is not recommended. I have many alternative options to suit pregnant women so that I can support them all the way through their pregnancy journey.

  • Yes, at the beginning of every session we will have a chat about how you are feeling and what you are looking to get out of the session. Together we can tailor the session to meet your needs. In my experience, the integrative sessions that incorporate the different modalities that I teach tend to be the most potent.

  • We recommend committing to at least 3 sessions, to begin with.

This will give you a chance to adapt to the treatment, and for the treatments to be of the most benefit and value to your well-being.

  • Each person’s response to the treatment is very unique. Some people move a little, others move a lot during their first session. Some people take months or years; other’s never ‘move’ at all.

It is important to note, that the amount of movement does not directly correlate to the amount of depth or benefits a person may receive during a session.
